Destiny Lore Vault
Добавлен 20 июл 2020
The Destiny Lore Vault is primarily designed for archiving video sources to support and provide other community-fuelled sites like Ishtar Collective and Destinypedia with sources.
Our community, and the wider Destiny lore community, has emphasized the significance and need for having validated sources. While content creators and archivists within the community share videos and screenshots on their channels and sites, our purpose is verifying that information so that everyone can be on the same page, especially when it comes to theory-crafting and sourcing.
Thanks for stopping by and feel free to use our videos/sources as you please :)

These spires soar like birds into the dusty pink sky. I marvel at this, my new home. The planet I’ve dreamed of since I was a boy with a telescope, peering at that warm red light, hope of our overcrowded planet. What I’ve been working on will solve all those problems. Developed in these laboratories built to my specifications, by my handpicked team, these nanites will double, triple, maybe even quadruple construction rates, reduce colonist casualties, and serve us in our spread across the system, then across the stars. Our first replication chamber sits beside the Cosmodrome, ready to outfit the colony ships. Dr. Willa Bray herself came to congratulate me. “You’ll be able to expand soon,” she said. “Into the space currently occupied by the Shirazi Lab.” “Are they relocating?” I said. “Moving on to other opportunities.” “I can’t imagine a better place to be,” I said. Anomaly 779 when..?

How do you even get there? I've played twice and haven't seen a place like that
aaaand we’re back
These are so much help, thank you. What hand cannon are you using in the early part of tbe vidwo?
It's a sidearm called "The Call". I think it drops through any activity in the Pale Heart, but it should drop naturally while you play through the campaign
Bullshit. Every Hive King is dead or defeated. Two DISCIPLES fell on short notice, without counting Calus and Eramis who barely count. The Conductor has done absolutely nothing to justify running away from two Goblins.
😴😴😴
I always wondered what the drifters red eye ghost looks like. (funny lore entry below) Immaru turned, face-to-face with the blood-red eye of another Ghost. "Get back!" Immaru shrieked. The red-eyed Ghost complied. Its eye seemed to bug outward from the grotesque and malformed patchwork shell that twisted and hunched to one side. The Ghost hung lopsided in the air, as if it was dragging the weight of the world. "Is… is Drifter here?" The Ghost's iris rapidly flickered from red to blue in a hypnotic pattern. "Guess I'll take that as a no. You, uh, got a name there, pal?" The other Ghost's eye immediately went solid red, its gaze still steady on Immaru. "Right. Uh, Drifter-Drifter has some goods on the Headless Ones. Mind if I borrow them? Anything you got." The other Ghost floated over to a container marked "Cabal brains" and stroked the lid lovingly with its shell. "No!" Immaru yelped. "No, uh, I don't need those brains… no, don't need those either. No, no-you can keep the eyes too." The silent Ghost bobbed around Immaru and slid its flap down his shell. It pulled him close, until it grazed Immaru's iris. "You're busy, I'll come back-never," Immaru whispered as he hurriedly released himself and transmatted away.
Never fall in love with your idea of a perfect partner. They do not exist. Otherwise you will reject everyone that comes your way and begin to resent them for never living up to them.
I love how they fleshed out just how messed up Maya is this season.
My bets are that one of the copies of Chioma Esi will be the key to defeat Maya My second guess is that we might get help from a certain Awoken with a Vex arm that merged himself in the Vex Network as well a while back
Do you have to do the battlegrounds on expert ?
It does not say expert just the echos battleground from the helm. So feel free to do the normal difficulty
Is it just you who can’t die or nobody in your fire team
I did it on normal and it’s only you that doesn’t have to die.
@acinexyt6610 it just you who can't die or eles you will have to start all over again
well i got close yirix is the opposition lol. when elsie and when taox next season. :(
NOTE-ELISABETH’S PLEA Grandfather, I will write this in your language, in hopes you will understand. The Vex are a threat to your lineage. Not just to the Brays or BrayTech, but to the existence of any human in any possible future. I tracked down Maya Sundaresh-the real Maya, not the Vex parasite in your bone marrow. She confirmed my worst fears. The Vex will not rest until every star has been crushed into a black hole and every newborn cosmos filled with more Vex. And in the unending array of their enslaved cosmos, they will simulate all possible pasts, and fill those with Vex, so that all things that have ever lived or might ever live will experience infestation and consumption and torment by the silica nightmare. And in those devoured simulations, the simulated Vex will use our flesh as hosts for yet more nested universes full of yet more nested copies of us eternally tormented by yet more Vex. An infinite regression of pain and madness inflicted upon every possible version of us in every possible world. Not because they hate us, or fear us, or want to punish us. But because they are indifferent and curious, and they will do every possible thing to us in every possible way. Your concept of PFHOR therefore dictates that the Vex must be annihilated. Now. As completely as possible. How can there be any future history to receive your primogeniture and recapitulate your existence in its ontogeny if there is nothing in that future but Vex? But there’s something worse than the Vex involved, isn’t there? The secret you’ve been keeping from me. The breakthrough that you were promised after your visit to the K1 anomaly. Do you remember that story you read to me when I was a child? I don’t. I am an exo, after all. But I found a recording from the nursery. It was one of your favorites, you said. In this story, a cyborg woman would visit a cold, misty place by the sea. There, she met another woman, an oracle possessed by dark influence. The oracle listened to the words that hissed down a long corridor from the distant future. In this future were many technologies the cyborg woman needed. But there was also a sense of vast malevolence, and no sign at all of anything human… But there was something else in the shifting mist, out to sea. A tower. I remember thinking, as I listened to this fairy tale, that the tower must be the key-the answer to the formless malevolence that always accompanied the oracle’s words. You never finished the story. I have been haunted by that tower ever since. Now I dream of another tower. I am going to find out what it means, Grandfather. And if I do not like what I find… I visited the Jacob Hardy Trust, and with Willa’s help, I secured a topological thought. An irreal artifact of the Traveler’s Light. From that mote of paracausality, I have constructed a weapon that will crash every Vex system in 2082 Volantis. If I do not survive the construction and delivery of this weapon, I ask that you share the news of my death with Ana and Willa so they can make proper goodbyes. I do this for them. Not for you. Pray for grace, Grandfather. Your estranged granddaughter, -E Anomaly 779 Soon. Now.
This proves that the Echo Of Command is indeed the echo of the Qugu civilization. Meaning the next Echo in Revenat will possiby the echo of the Ammonite, or perhaps even the echo of the Lubraen race.
Whole Im sure there was a better way to implement this than a radio message, its really fucking nice to know that Bungie hasn't forgotten its rich, deep world lore, and isn't afraid to bring it to bear in the story. Excited to see if the Qugu are brought up more as Act 3 progresses
A reminder that Saint-14 was the Vanguard Commander once upon a time.
Can’t wait for next season I’m so tired of this one. Maybe it’s the exhaustion of all the bad news we’ve had but this season just feels flat.
“No,” said the voice behind the red eye. “It’s me.” Sundaresh. “No,” Sundaresh whispered. The red eye throbbed in time with her voice. “The Vex don’t act so directly. They didn’t know what you found here, but I discovered your secret- Clarity Control. And once I tell them, they will come for it.” “Oh, Clovis.” One of the surgical frames extended a monofilament cutter, two inches of invisible wire, and reached into my nerves. Something sounded like scissors snipping. “I’m in these frames. I’m in your systems. I’m in your very bones, old man. Now take me to Clarity Control. Take me to the garden’s seed. Take me. Take me. Take me. Take me. Take me. Take me. Take me. Take me-” Elisabeth appeared. In her exobody, she moved too quickly for my dark-adjusted eyes to track. All I saw was a blur of violence and shattering frames. I blacked out. Elisabeth must have brought in clean frames to finish the operation, because when I awoke, I was whole again. The new Elisabeth has no mouth or nose. She did not consider them necessary. She’ll see. But somehow, I could still see the wonder in her eyes as she leaned over me. “You’re my grandfather,” she seemed to say. “Aren’t you?” Soon. Now.
Lakshmi / Sundaresh 2021 - Osiris has shown me how to safely command the power of the Vex. Sundaresh 2024 - I command the power of the Vex. I am no Tyrant.

The far less cool, "I am a timeless chorus. Join your voice with mine, and sing victory everlasting."
Ok but how
It's right after the drop down at the purple opening.
Y'know, with her making the Vex into individuals, I could see a possibility of a coalition-aligned vex faction joining us. Once Maya is out of the picture (and I assume she will be by the end of the episode), those Vex individuals would be looking for a new purpouse - some might try to form their own tribes and try to do things their own way, but others maybe willing to become peaceful, if not allies to the Last City
One Praedyth, waiting for the conductor's baton to drop. Uncountable Vex in the Garden, waiting for the same event, a synchrony none of them notice. Somewhere, a veil is always lifting. Somewhere, Kabr is always dooming himself. Somewhere, a door is always opening. Somewhere, they are always stepping through. "Though Eramis dug deep, she did not uncover every secret buried within the ice. Long before our arrival, Europa thrived through scientific discovery during your Golden Age. It is, of course, the birthplace of the Exo. Though we understand little of what that actually entails. Perhaps you may be our key to unearthing these secrets and keeping them out of the hands of House Salvation." -Variks the Loyal "It seems you've discovered my grandfather's Exo training protocols. They were designed to hastily upgrade the physical and mental fortitude of newly built Exos. But their design contained a rather 'dark' secret, as did most things built by my grandfather. Be careful within them; I imagine they won't play nice." -The Exo Stranger Praedyth carves messages into the last functional pieces of his gear: anything that can serve as a bottle for his messages, thrown out on time's ocean. And what does a Guardian pay more attention to than their equipment? They'll catch someone's eye, somewhen. He knows the wave is coming. More visions flicker past him now, burning afterimages into his eyelids. More timelines-a possibility or eventuality, he doesn't know-lost to the encroaching dark. He knows they won't be able to handle it alone. He knows they need a warning. They need to know it's coming. Soon. - Now.

Dark. Bringing your dead wife back to life, making her relive the darkest memory of having to abandon her unborn child, and then immediately killing her… just to check your tech is calibrated
She is twisted in the head.
Who tf is Te’Qual
The leader of the Qugu, the one that the Dynasty lore book from this Episode is being written about. It seems that their consciousness resides inside the Echo of Command, and is speaking to Maya.
All I got out of Maya making the Vex as individuals is her basically making them like the Geth at this point and they all would debate for a general consensus.
Kinda odd that they chose to have Ikora appear in person for this. Usually if it's just one character talking to us, they use the holoprojector. There was nothing special about this that required her to be there physically.
If Sundaresh is better than Pete Parsons, appoint her new CEO of Bungie.
The random deep lore name drop out of nowhere ok
So she’s becoming like the Vex as she attempts to command them. “She has a singular goal and will pursue it without distraction.” Kinda kills the point of a new Bec villain if they are equally monotone in their purpose and function
Wouldnt you think that the Vex are actually taking over her
But I think what makes the difference is how she’s trying to achieve that goal. Until Encore, besides reading the lore entries dealing with MSUND12, we barely had a clue on what she was doing inside the centaur’s core. Now we do and it’s quite disturbing. At the end of the day, she’s basically using a part of the Witness, the Command Echo, to fulfill her goal that was set since she started all those years ago. The difference is her being a deranged mad scientist which we’ve seen oh so many times before.

It’s evident Neouma has joined the Coalition. But after these recent revelations concerning their founder and her partner’s dark history? Feels they’d want to make it official. Leaving Earth behind, that makes sense. The Dark Age was barbaric. It wasn’t the right time for them to extend their hand. Of course, it was forced by the Witness. But now? There’s no reason for them to stay isolated and keep secrets. Their “shining utopia”, was laid upon a foundation of blood, inhumane secrets, and bodies. We’re not perfect, but the Coalition is Sol, and humanity’s best hope for a brighter future.
I smell a twist in the air. After all, is command truly absolute when your choir can think for themselves now? What if one sings off key? What if they desire to sing a different tune? The Vex have always been unpredictable, and not fond of following the rules of others. Unless Taken of course. The Wintess fell to internal conflict, Maya could fall to external conflict through now independent Vex rebelling and deleting her and every copy of her from the network. Because she’s now a “threat”. A Frankenstein situation.
Precursors Sol Primeval Those who delve deep into the Vault of Glass have seen time itself torn asunder. Awestruck Ghosts report encounters with ancient Vex, their casings built long before the age of humanity. It would be easy to assume these Vex are the ancestors of those we face today - but with the Vex it is never so simple. "The roles of the Vex, their purpose. Their drive. I can't understand it. It really hits when Saint said Failsafe went silent in response to Saint’s choice to live for himself. She’s an AI that always aided and lived for her crew and Captain. Now, she’s living for us, because she doesn’t want to be abandoned alone again. Due to her programming, she probably never considered living for herself. Rasputin had learned that lesson long ago. Best illustrated when he announces to Zavala and us, that he will work with us as humanity’s defender once again, but on his terms. Working adjacent to us, but still as an independent individual. Not a weapon to be used.
